TREASURES IN KEY WEST
Past days have seen famed Conch artists after destruction from devastating hurricane collect ship wreckage, building parts, car doors, any mass which could evolve itself into a canvas for expression. HONG KONG WILLIE, renowned Key's Artist Collective, gained notoriety only from the blatant choice of medium, and the artists' yearning to remain honest to originality. Visit HONG KONG WILLIE STUDIOS located in Tampa, Florida for a true insight into the work. Contact the Artists for appointment @ (813) 770-4794. GOOGLE HONG KONG WILLIE, for BLOG, PRESS, PHOTOS.
Along with the Columbus antique ship book-ends listed in our store this week, this Columbus Santa Maria Lamp also was said to have been in famed treasure hunter Mel Fisher's storefront in the 1970's. Lamp is within HONG KONG WILLIE's renowned standards, being in good aesthetic and working order. Lamp is in extraordinary condition with a beautiful golden-tan patina. Antiques Roadshow featured a similar item surrounding the same motif and year of origin; this lamp was valued @ about $1500.00. Dimensions are W-11" 1/4", H- 9" with approximate DEPTH @ 3" 1/2". Anyone with further information, please email us. Further historical information will be provided upon request.
